What To Wear To Southwell Races

One of the biggest questions for those attending the races is what to wear. This will vary depending on the racecourse, so it is always best to check. At Southwell we have a fairly casual approach except for some hospitality areas which is detailed below. If you are joining us for All-Weather racing, please dress for the weather

Enclosures & Hospitality

Hospitality (including Seasons Restaurant):

These are our premier locations and, accordingly, racegoers often choose to adopt a smarter style. We recommend, for example, smart jeans or tailored shorts and a collared shirt for the gentlemen. Our only stipulation is that sporting team shirts and offensive fancy dress are not permitted.

Grandstand:

Our dress code here is relaxed. Again, our only stipulation is sporting team shirts and offensive fancy dress are not permitted.

Our priority at Southwell is making sure that you have a comfortable and enjoyable experience with us. We would remind all racegoers that race meetings at Southwell are predominantly outdoor events, and that they are mindful of the weather when deciding what to wear.
